What will it cost?

Registration: Please see the linked pdf application. If you do not have the Adobe Acrobat (pdf) reader installed, you can download it at no charge here.

Tuition: The tuition is an annual fee and is not affected by the number of practices, holidays, or concerts. The tuition can be paid in full, or broken into ten monthly payments. Arrangements for monthly payments are made at the time of registration.
Tuition information is included on the application form.

Instrumental Rental: Students must a have a good working instrument to ensure a successful experience in music. Instruments can be purchased on your own or you can rent to own. Instrument rentals start at $15.00 a month for previously rented instruments. You can also rent-to-purchase used and new instruments. Instruments will be available at the Orientation Meeting. We will be glad to evaluate a previously purchased instrument and make any necessary recommendations.

Additional Expenses

Method Books: Books for each band are included with instrument rental and will be available to purchase during the orientation meeting and the first several classes. They are required texts.

Sheet Music: Ensemble selections will be provided at no cost to your student. Your student is responsible for keeping up with his/her music, and it must be returned to the music library in the same condition in which it was distributed. Fines will have to be applied in the unfortunate event that a student does not take proper care of their music.

Competition Registration Fee: As a member of the TrueNote Bands your student is eligible to participate in the Central District Bandmasters Association Honor Bands. Participation in honor bands is optional, and auditions are held throughout the District to select participants. A $10.00 audition fee is required of all students per instrument for the All-District Band and $15.00 per instrument for the All-State Honors Band (see calendar for dates/times). Solo and Ensemble Festivals dates, fees, and location will be announced during the fall as they become available.

Transportation and Accommodations: In the event that your student is selected to participate in an honor band, expenses for transportation, accommodations and meals are the responsibility of parents. Expenses for the Band Directors accommodations (approx. $50/night) are divided among participating families. There are two honor band festivals; High School All-District Honors Band Clinic, and All-State Honors Band Clinic.
